GIANT Red Amaranth!

Red Amaranth is a show-stopper in the garden and readily reseeds itself year after year. We let this big, vibrant plant have its own patch in the garden. This grows to be about 12’ in full sun, so tall that you can see it from 72nd Street in Omaha. Want to grow Red Amaranth in your garden? It’s an annual so simply let the seeds fall in the area you want to designate toward it & it’ll come back each year. Don’t want it to come back? Cut back the stalks when the heads are still red (before the seeds form). Use the young tender greens in cooking, and the flower heads for natural dye, fresh-cut floral arrangements, dried flower arrangements, other crafts, for grain harvesting or to supplement your chicken feed!
