Winter Reflections

On a recent winter stroll around the yard I couldn’t help but notice the buzz of activity surrounding our perennial flower patch that we installed this past summer. Numerous species of birds, from the common Juncos to the majestic Downy Woodpecker, were fluttering about in great excitement at the feast that lay before them. It was a reminder of the importance of planting local cultivars that provide habitat and food for local wildlife throughout the year.
