Trimming Culinary and Medicinal Herbs

Herb trimming ✂️ It’s about that time of year when perennial herbs can be trimmed back—harvest about 1/3 of the plant each time once it reaches a mature level of growth. Use herbs fresh in culinary dishes, syrups, pesto, iced tea, etc. or dry them by hanging bunches or laying out on racks to use later this year! When selecting plants for your home garden, we’d recommend thinking about what you would enjoy using most & then grow from there 🌱

🌿 Trimming back herbs promotes growth & maintains a healthier plant

🌿 Use sharp scissors or snips (which helps prevent plant damage) to cut stem bunches at a 45 degree angle
